Durden & Hunt Welcome New Head of Compliance

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tracey Stephens as Head of Compliance, reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence as we continue to expand across London, Essex and internationally.
With more than 30 years’ experience spanning the private, public and voluntary sectors, Stephens brings an exceptional depth of expertise in property compliance, governance and operational leadership. Her career has seen her oversee complex property portfolios, develop compliance frameworks and implement robust operational procedures for both established organisations and growing businesses.
Most recently, Stephens spent six and a half years as a Property Maintenance Manager, where she was responsible for managing compliance across hundreds of properties, followed by two and a half years coordinating new business opportunities for a Chartered Surveyors firm. Throughout her career she has also worked with property investment companies, led housing initiatives for vulnerable residents through Women’s Aid, established a temporary accommodation team for Barking & Dagenham Council and played a key role in expanding supported housing operations for a further estate agency firm.
Her extensive experience has given her a comprehensive understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape, allowing her to combine strategic oversight with practical implementation across every aspect of property compliance.
In her new role, Stephens will oversee compliance across our seven branches, ensuring we continue to operate to the highest professional standards. Her responsibilities will include regulatory compliance across sales and lettings and the implementation of company-wide compliance efficiencies as the business grows.
The appointment reflects our ongoing investment in building a market-leading infrastructure to support our ambitious growth.
